Around the Lake 2008 - Huron

This year we decided to change things
around a bit, and instead of going around Lake Michigan, we decided to go
around Lake Huron. Many thanks to Rob for plotting our course and
organizing our hotels. We met at MCC and headed toward Michigan. We crossed into the U.P via the Mackinaw Bridge, and headed to Sault Ste. Marie where we went through customs and crossed into Canada. We headed east and then south, taking the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from South Baymouth to Tobermory. We then continued south, crossing back into the U.S. via Port Huron. Our last day took us back to Chicago, with our total mileage around 1400 for the entire trip. A great and safe time was had by all (except maybe Chris ;-) and we all look forward to next years trip! |
